I was born in Montreal, QC but grew up in Plainview, NY, and have lived in Brooklyn, NY for the past 10 years.
My first major in college was music industry.  I switched to film, then marketing.
I got into retail when I started working for J.Crew in 1997.  I then spent 3 years at Armani before jumping to store fixtures.
Beck, The Beatles, The Shins, Broken Bells, The National, The Eels, Tom Waits, The Ramones, & Morphine.
My father is a NYC born and raised Jew.  My mom is a Canadian hick who converted.  I married an Italian Irish girl from Pittsburgh.  My kids will really be mutts.
Being married is better than not being married.
Though, I did enjoy being single for my first few years living in NYC.
Except for those times when I didn’t enjoy being single.
This is not a style blog.
This is not a food blog.
This is not a travel blog.
This is not a fitness blog.
This is a lifestyle blog.  I just happen to enjoy writing about style and food and travel and fitness.
Ok, it’s mostly a journal.
Many of the #menswear bloggers take themselves way too seriously.
The food bloggers are even worse.
Bring on the hate comments for those last two.
I don’t know any fitness or travel bloggers.
My favorite movies include The Departed, Ocean’s Eleven, Field of Dreams, Wedding Crashers, Midnight in Paris, and Inception.
Some of my favorite books are The Great Gatsby, Empire Falls, A Dirty Job, and go figure, I really liked The Hunger Games.
I’d give up beer before I gave up coffee.
And I’d give up dinner before I gave up breakfast…not that I’d ever consider giving up either.
My dream is to one day be a screen writer and novelist.
Blogging is just a way for me to have a creative outlet while I procrastinate working on two or three stories I’ve concocted.
Though, I do enjoy blogging.
I’ve met some great people on both the food & style sides.
No, I’m not contradicting myself.
Suits, pants, sport jackets, & casual shirts from J.Crew, dress shirts from Bonobos & Ralph Lauren, sweaters from Uniqlo, ties and more jackets from Gant.
I wish I could eat pizza, wings, burgers, steaks, beer, scotch, and cake all the time.
But I can’t.
I feel better
today than I have in a very long time.
And part of the reason for that is that I don’t eat pizza, wings, burgers, steaks, beer, scotch, or cake all the time.  Just sometimes…
